Me, winning a round of capture the flag at The Ramble.  We did it kinda LARP sytle, with swords and battle axes and bows and arrows.  10 or 12 people per team.
I’m wearing a SuperF*ckers shirt, for extra branding.  Buy the graphic novel, watch the animated series for FREE.

Inventing slammers.  I just started watching Legend of Korra, and I’m feeling all nostalgic because the dude who does the voice of Mako is David Faustino… the same dude who voices Jack Krak.  Man, is he great.  All 13 episodes of SuperF*ckers are up on YouTube.

The cover of this week’s Seven Days is an accidental collaboration between me and Ghostshrimp!  He drew the picture, but I drew the words “Seven Days”.  Yay!  I like Ghost Shrimp.
Inside you can read lots of great comics including Rooftops of Burlington, a collaboration between me and Sydney Lea, the Poet Laureate of Vermont.  I drew the pictures, and Syd composed a poem in response to my images.

Nominate James Kochalka for the Daysies!  The categories I suggest are “best visual artist” and “best male actor”.  Visual artist for my work this year on Glorkian Warrior and tons of other stuff… best actor for my roles as Grotus and Shitstorm on Superf*ckers last year.
Remember you have to vote in at least 50 categories for your vote to count.  Like best restaurant-garage-sale-rock-climbing-wall and all that junk.  Stuff in Vermont.

baddreamfvcker:

I’m so stoked on all of the cover art for Super F*ckers. I think that’s a street in burlington? #jameskochalka is a local superhero.

You’re right!  That is a street in Burlington, VT.
And did you know that in addition to the comic there are 12 animated episodes of the SuperF*ckers show on YouTube?

Avengers #1 cover by James Kochalka (American Elf, Johnny Boo) from Stumptown Comic Fest. Check out his tumbler, Kochalkaland.

Here’s a convention sketch I did, kinda in my SuperF*ckers style.

I’m used to “Kochalka” being spelled wrong all over the place, but seeing JAMES spelled wrong is a new one for me.
I suppose this is just one more sales roadblock to overcome.  But still they can’t stop SuperF*ckers from saving Christmas.  SuperF*ckers Save Christmas! …that’s just what they do.
update:  they fixed the error!

The final two cover designs I sketched for SuperF*ckers Save Christmas.  The one I actually used was the very first sketch I did.  But it was still worth trying a bunch of variations to be sure.
The book is still available on iphone or ipad, kindle, or comixology… and sure to be a perennial favorite.  Or perennially despised, one or the other.

Cover designs 5 and 6 for SuperF*ckers Save Christmas.  We didn’t use these because punching or kicking a snowman didn’t seems as funny as punching or kicking a Christmas tree.
